My Practice

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Masters of Science degree in the field from Mercy College in New York, a Masters of Science degree from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York, Albany.

My basic approach begins with a focus on the strengths of the couple, the family or the individual. In our experience of unhappiness, disappointment, grief or psychological trauma, we often presume we are without even the most fundamental skills necessary to cope with, or overcome, emotional setbacks. I help clients uncover the basic personality strengths of which they may have been previously unaware, and builds on these strengths to help develop a better understanding of problems and issues during the process of self-discovery.

We are much more resilient than we think. My work with clients is informed by my firm belief that we can learn from our past, achieve a better understanding of our patterns of behavior and view our lives in new perspectives.

My therapeutic work typically embraces a variety of circumstances and participants, including:

  • Marriage/Couples

  • Pre-Marriage
